COREN Congratulates Presiden-Elect of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari

The Council for the Regulation of Engineering In Nigeria (COREN) has congratulated General Muhammadu Buhari on his election as the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

In a statement signed by COREN president, Engr. Kashim Ali, it said his election by the people is a manifestation of the confidence Nigerians have in his ability to turn things around for the better in the country.

According to Ali, COREN believes that this is another opportunity to prove his worth as a committed leader, whose wealth of experience will be used to move the country forward in all ramifications.

“It is our hope that as you assume this new position, your usual dynamism will be brought to bear in the development of the Engineering profession in Nigeria, since the bulk of government spending is on engineering projects.

“The Council wishes to also commend the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Jonathan for his foresight, courage, maturity and patriotism for conceding defeat even before the final result was announced including calling him to congratulate him.” he said.
