Kano Votes, Statement Against Bad Leadership – Emir Sanusi

The emir of Kano, His Royal Highness, Muhammad Sanusi ll, said the votes of the people of Kano contributed greatly in bringing PDP led-government down as a protest to PDP bad leadership and mistreatment of its sons and daughters.

In his address when he paid a congratulatory visit to Governor Kwankwaso and APC governor elect, the emir said, “All praise is to Allah that has chosen for the people of Kano the person they so wishes, in person of General Muhammad Buhari, rtd. This testifies that peoples votes are so important and people can with their votes replace bad government with the good”.

Emir Sanusi stated that Kano people had given the highest votes of over 1.9 million to President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, lamenting that there are over two million people who were unable to vote.

According to him these votes show that the people of Kano are so important and would serve as a lesson to national leaders that if a government treat the people justly, they will assist in voting it into power, if not, they will assist in unseating the government.

He noted that it was an indication of the democratic power of Kano saying that he hope that the votes of the electorate will impact on good governance and help to improve the lives of masses.

He described Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso as being among the people who helped in bringing down the PDP led government that failed Nigerians in many respects.

Emir expressed optimism that Kwankwaso is going to give better representation at Senate assembly.
