Buhari urged to Invest More in Mechanised Agric

Mr. Ezeemo made the call when he visited the former governor of the state/senator-elect, Dr. Sam Egwu, at his home town, Umuebe, in Ezamgbo, Ohaukwu LGA of Ebonyi State.
He said that job opportunities and food security would be achieved and the nation’s economy equally boosted at this time of financial recession.
He said: “Over dependence on oil encouraged mono-economy and this placed the economy in jeopardy which needs to be redressed by the incoming administration using modern mechanised farming.  So I want to task the incoming government to see it as a way to advance the nation’s economy.
“I therefore enjoin the president-elect, Gen. Buhari and Nigerian politicians to use agriculture to create job opportunities for our teeming unemployed youths and at the same time help boost the nation’s economy, “he said.
