APC’ll lose National Assembly if… – Governor Masari

Katsina state governor, Aminu Bello Masari, has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) may lose the control of the National Assembly if drastic action is not taken immediately. The governor was speaking when he received the APC screening committee on Katsina bye-election yesterday at Government House under the leadership of Mr. Godwin Ogunbo. Masari siad the events at the National Assmebly were quite unfortunate and a is serious setback to the party. The governor, who urged the APC leaders to, immediately, find a lasting solution to current crisis in the assembly, said the party would depart from the culture of imposition of candidate through the creation of a level play ground for its members. Masari pointed that those who won election under the APC should ensure that the party remain a driving force. While calling on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members to prepare themselves for an opposition, said democracy was “not madness”. He assured that APC in Katsina state, from councillor to chairman position, emerged through primaries during the local government election.
