Commandant Lauds Buhari For Appointing Muhammad As NSCDC Boss

Malam Muhammad Gidado, the Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Jigawa, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing Abdullahi Muhammad as Commandant-General of the corps. Gidado gave the commendation at a news conference on Sunday in Dutse. He said that the new commandant-general, who takes over from Ade Abulorin, served the corps in various capacities including assistant commandant-general. Gidado described the new NSCDC boss as a seasoned officer who possessed the requisite credentials to improve the corps. “I have confidence that Abdullahi Muhammad will not let the corps down because he has what it takes to improve the current state of the corps. “Muhammad has the leadership qualities to sustain the legacies and result-oriented policies of his predecessor, Dr Ade Abulorin,’’ Gidado said. He described the immediate-past commandant-general as hardworking and dedicated, adding that he recorded numerous achievements during his stay in office. He listed the achievements to include establishing well equipped structures including the Civil Defence Academy, Abuja, the College of Peace and Conflict Management in Katsina State and the College of Management Studies in Abeokuta.
