The Buhari Youth Organisation (BYO) Wednesday elected new executive officers during a congress held at the All Progressives Congress (APC) headquarters in Abuja.
The congress ratified the appointment of Alhaji Ibrahim Khalil Aminu as the new national president, with Mrs Lucy Ajayi as deputy national president and Engr. Garba A. Umar as national secretary of the organization.
The congress earlier dissolved the former national executive council of the organization headed by Prince Umar Mohammed.
The organization tasked the new executives to work towards the effective realization of the ideals of the ruling party and aspirations of President Muhammadu Buhari administration.
“The task before President Buhari of fixing the country is enormous and all hands must be on deck to ensure that the president’s policies in transforming the country succeeded,” the organization said in a statement.
The organization urged the general public, all relevant public and corporate agencies, individuals, political associations, security agencies to support the new executives in their efforts of making Nigeria better.
