GOVERNOR HYACINTH ALIA SHOWERS ENCOMIUMS ON SENATOR DR. GEORGE AKUME, CALLS FOR PRAYERS FOR THE SUCCESS OF THE SECRETARY TO THE GOVERNMENT OF THE FEDERATION

 



The Executive Governor of Benue State,His Excellency,Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia has appealed to the Priests and the Laity,and by extension the Christian Faithful to pray for the success of the Leader of the APC in North Central Nigeria,and Secretary to the Government of the Federation,Distinguished Senator Dr. George Akume,CON,FNIM. 

Governor Hyacinth Alia stated this on Friday,the 7th of July 2023 during thanksgivings mass and grand reception organized in his honour by Kunav Development Association(KUDA),at Christ The King Parish,Vandeikya,in celebration of the Governor’s 33 years of Priesthood,and his recent victory in the 2023 general elections as the 6th democratically elected Governor of the good people of Benue State. 

Governor Alia emphasized that Distinguished Senator Dr. George Akume,CON remains his Leader whose political oxygen gave birth to the success of his campaigns and eventual emergence as Governor of Benue State. 

The Governor further noted that Benue citizens need peace,unity,understanding and cooperation within and out there for the success of his administration and that of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. 

As a mark of demonstration of his love,respect and appreciation for having the Secretary to the Government of the Federation as his own Leader,Governor Alia stated that the government and good people of Benue State would be organizing a special thanksgiving to celebrate,Senator Dr. George Akume,CON at a date that will be communicated to the people of the state. 

Governor Alia also thanked the President and Commander -in Chief, His Excellency,Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment of Distinguished Senator Dr. George Akume,CON as the SGF. Rev. Fr. Alia expressed  trust and confidence in the capacity and integrity of Senator Dr. George Akume to deliver in his national assignment. He assured President Tinubu of the continued support and cooperation from the government and people of Benue State.
